beautiful monument for Vittorio Emanuel II! it's impossible to miss it, it's absolutely gorgeous and also pretty big, there's more statues on the sides and on top. it was created by sculptor Ettore Ferrari and inaugurated in 1887.. the winged lion, a symbol of venice, rests its paw on a tablet commemorating the referendum for venice to join the kingdom of italy.
